(Portland, Ore., May 9, 2023) – Today, ahead of the 2023-2024 football season, micro-weighted fitness brand OMORPHO announces its continued partnership with Philadelphia Eagles return specialist Britain Covey. This news follows Covey’s 2022-2023 partnership, where he utilized OMORPHO’s weighted G-Wear and G-Vest in preparation for his NFL journey, including an appearance in Super Bowl LVII this year.
Entering the 2022 NFL season as a rookie punt returner, Covey established a fitness regime focused on building strength, while maintaining optimal speed and mobility, all of which could be translated directly to the game. Through his commitment on and off the field, and by signing with OMORPHO, he was able to achieve these goals.
“As soon as I put OMORPHO’s weighted vest on, I knew their method would prove to be game-changing for me,” said Covey. “By adding weight to what I’m already working out in - whether on the field or in the gym - I’m able to increase my speed and strength in a way that naturally translates to the game and my role on the team. It was the missing piece I had been looking for in my training that’s given me a competitive edge.”
Covey was signed by the Philadelphia Eagles as an undrafted free agent ahead of the 2022 NFL season following an impressive showing at his NFL Pro Day, including a 4.43 40-yard dash time. He performed well for his team throughout the 2022-2023 season, culminating in a 27-yard punt return in Super Bowl LVII to close out the year.
“We’re thrilled to be able to continue our partnership with Britain, who’s been an incredible asset and member of our team over the past year,” said OMORPHO CEO Stefan Olander. “He embodies what our brand strives for - providing fitness solutions for any athlete by allowing them to improve results just by changing what they wear. Britain’s a hard-worker, and it’s been a pleasure to be a part of his continued success.”
Covey’s impressive start in the NFL followed a successful collegiate career at the University of Utah, where he led his team in receiving yards for three seasons and was named a three-time First Team All Pac-12. He capped his collegiate career with an incredible 97-yard kickoff return for touchdown in the 2022 Rose Bowl. Prior to that, he grew up in Provo, Utah, where he attended Timpview High School.
By re-signing with OMORPHO, Covey continues his partnership alongside a team of ambassadors from a range of athletics, including Alexander Mattionson, DeeJay Dallas, Ajla Tomljanovic, Annie Kunz and more.
